Let’s face it, gardening is not for the squeamish; only those of us who can stamp on a slug in bare wellies should attempt it. Gardening is really about killing things, and this book helps you identify them first.

I had been an avid reader of Jane’s wonderful, colourful, thoughtful blog Yarnstorm for years and had always found it both a source of inspiration and a balm, so I was very excited when her first book came out. A mixture of personal stories, musings on creativity and gorgeous photographs of Jane’s makings, from vivid cupcakes to vibrant quilts to the tulips in her garden, it is a lesson in noticing something beautiful every day, and in what a pair of hands can do.
