About This Bookstore

Welcome to Foyles Bristol, operating from the fabulous central location of Bristol's Cabot Circus shopping centre. Sleek and modern, our bright and cheery space is crammed with great books from a wide array of genres. From the latest hardbacks, to something a bit different, we have something for everyone.

But we don't only sell books! We also stock a wide array of beautiful gifts and stationary. We are now proud stockists of the locally produced Stokes Croft China. These beautiful pieces are all handmade and individually unique - they are the must have kitchen items for all Bristolians!

Can't find the title you would like? Our brand new digital platform gives us half a million titles we can order for you and post to your home address. And the postage is on us. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are always on hand whenever you need them: not only are they skilled booksellers, they're also trained baristas! Take a seat in our beautiful cafe and enjoy a good read and a delicious cup of coffee, from local roastery Extract Coffee.

Every Tuesday morning from 10:30am - 11:30am is toddler hour! Bring your tots along for stories and fun galore, as well as complimentary snacks and squash. We also have a rather brilliant BRIO train-set play table, which is just perfect to keep the under-fives occupied.

Take a look at our new dedicated Facebook page!

After the Crash

After the Crash by Michael Bussi

A plane crashes in the mountains on the French-Swiss border, but the only survivor is a three month old baby...
Two families come forward to claim her, but is she Emilie or Lyse-Rose?
A deeply captivating book full of dark twists and turns. Every time I thought I had the book figured out another twist was revealed, drawing me further into the book. For the life of me I could not but this book down!

Against the Double Blackmail

Against the Double Blackmail by Slavoj Zizek

Rockstar philosopher Slavoj Žižek tackles on of the most controversial issues of our times: the refugee crises and the responses that have exposed problems that run deep in the societies of Western Europe. Arguing that the solutions offered by popular demagogues, both on the right and left, equate to little more than what he calls 'ideological blackmail', Žižek demands that we, politicians and citizens alike, think harder.

Slow Horses

Slow Horses by Mick Herron

For a spook whose career has taken a wrong turn, there's one place they don't want to end up - banished to Slough House with the slow horses, pushing paper in the back end of nowhere. When a terrorist kidnapping coincides with a run of the mill investigation, there is a glimmer of redemption for the slow horses. Sharp and clever, with secrecy, lies and deception at every turn, this is everything you could want from a British spy novel.

Picture Books Promotion

Want to share a giggle with your little one? Searching for the perfect bedtime read? Below is a selection of five fantastic kids picture books that are currently part of our Buy One Get One Half Price offer in store.*

The Cloudspotter by Tom McLaughlin. The Cloudspotter loves nothing more than gazing at the sky, watching the clouds soar overhead. He doesn't have a lot of friends: it's just him and his clouds. Then one day the Cloudspotter meets someone new - could two cloudspotters be better than one? An adorable story of clouds and friendship.

I Don't Want Curly Hair by Laura Ellen Anderson. The story of a little curl who hates her curly hair - it's always in the way, it's too messy and silly and it won't go straight no matter what she tries! This is a funny, heartfelt tale about learning to love ourselves exactly as we are.

The Crocodile Who Didn't Like Water by Gemma Merino. Crocodiles are supposed to love water, but this little crocodile doesn't like water AT ALL. All he wants to do is climb trees, but everyone else is too busy swimming. Could it be that this little crocodile isn't a crocodile at all? From the winner of the Macmillan Prize for Illustration 2011.

Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers. A little boy finds a sad little penguin and becomes determined to help him return home to the South Pole. But what if the penguin isn't lost - what if he's sad because he feels lonely? With Oliver Jeffers' gorgeous illustrations, this is a must-have book for every child's library.
