Shirley Hughes' award-winning children's stories have made her a national treasure, celebrated as much by her peers as by all those who cherish her books. As Shirley's much-loved creation Alfie reaches 30, the occasion will be marked by the publication of a brand new Alfie book featuring two new stories as well as poems and illustrations. Shirley will be at Foyles to meet her fans and sign copies of the new collection.
