SOHO STORIES - A Spark London and National Trust Storytelling Evening with Clayton Littlewood, Radcliffe Royds, Tony Hickson, Julie Kertesz and Barry Miles, and compered by Catherine Semark

Saturday 30th June 2012 6pm - 8pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Chargeable Event

Since December 2007, Spark London have heard stories told live by hundreds of Londoners. Not exclusively actors or performers, but policemen, mothers and car dealers to name just a few. Come and hear the true tales that people don't usually tell in public. These stories will surprise and inspire you and may even spark off a story of your own.

Tonight, Spark celebrates the release of the National Trust's Soho Stories app, with live readings from Soho legends Clayton Littlewood, Radcliffe Royds, Tony Hickson, Julie Kertesz and Barry Miles. You'll also have the chance to submit your own Soho story, for inclusion on the Soho Stories app update.

Radcliffe Royds is a writer and performer who has managed to overcome the twin advantages of wealth and privilege to achieve utter mediocrity, homelessness and despair. Radcliffe's stories tell of his experience in battling high expectations with low self esteem and under-achievement, and catalogue a latter day libertine's romp through two marriages, several careers and his brushes with the law.

Julie Kertesz is a storyteller, stand-up comedian and grandmother, winner of Silver Comedy Newcomer of 2012.

Catherine Semark is a stand-up comedian and story-teller ('warm, articulate and enthralling' - Fringe Report 2011), and your host for the evening.

Venue: The Café at Foyles
Tickets: £5. Add the required number to the basket below. Please note that no physical tickets will be issued: the email confirmation you receive is proof of your booking.
