Tea With Winnicott: Brett Kahr and Alison Bechdel in conversation with Susie Orbach

Monday 11th July 2016 7pm - 8pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Chargeable Event

How does one write about the most private aspects of human sexual and aggressive life without betraying confidentiality?  Forsaking the traditional case-study model, leading psychoanalytical practitioners Susie Orbach and Brett Kahr and memoirist and award-winning artist Alison Bechdel discuss the more creative and imaginative ways of using art and drama, radio and film, and other media to explore our private inner worlds.  Spurred by the recent publication of Brett Kahr’s new book Tea with Winnicott, illustrated by Alison Bechdel, and by the broadcast of Susie Orbach’s popular B.B.C. Radio 4 series In Therapy, the three authors will discuss the nature of psychoanalysis and depth psychology in the consulting room and in popular culture.

Don't miss this exclusive conversation between three authors who have collectively penned and inked some of the most probing and creative contemporary works on psychoanaylsis available today. The discussion will be followed by an opportunity for the audience to ask questions of the panel and a book signing.
