Lavie Tidhar - Osama

Thursday 4th October 2012 6:30pm - 7:30pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Free Event

The events of 9/11 seemed to alter the world so radically that portraying them in fiction felt almost impossible. Israeli-born author Lavie Tidhar, already a controversial and outspoken voice, has risen to the challenge with his alternate-reality novel Osama. At Foyles, Lavie will be in conversation with Sophia McDougall, discussing the novel, and how 9/11 and the figure of Bin Laden have shifted our perspective on the world and how fiction can respond to it, in what promises to be a fascinating and thought-provoking evening.

Venue: the Gallery at Foyles, Third Floor, 113 - 119 Charing Road, London WC2H 0EB

Tickets: Free, but need to be reserved by adding the required number to the basket below or by emailing events@foyles.co.uk. No physical tickets will be issued: the order confirmation you will receive after adding ticket/s to your basket is your proof of reservation.
