The Art of Urban Sketching

Monday 16th July 2012 9:30am - Sunday 22nd July 2012 6pm 107 Charing Cross Road Exhibition, Free Event

In cities all around the world a silent sketching revolution is taking place. Countless artists, or 'correspondents', are picking up their sketchpads, pencils and paints and venturing out onto the streets to capture stories unfolding in real time - a reportage formerly reserved for the written word. The Urban Sketchers (USk) is a collective of artists based all over the globe who exchange work and ideas on the website www.urbansketchers.org, and the USk's London correspondents have combined prints from their new book The Art of Urban Sketching with original artwork to capture the capital this summer.

Venue: The Gallery at Foyles, Third Floor, Charing Cross Road

Opening Hours: 16th - 22nd July 2012 (Mon - Sat 9.30am - 5pm, Sun 11.30am - 6pm)
*Please note that the Gallery may be closed when instore events and meetings are taking place so please check in advance if making a special trip.
