Christopher Wakling - The Devil's Mask

Wednesday 29th June 2011 6pm - 8pm Bristol, Foyles, 6 Quakers Friars, Cabot Circus, Bristol, BS1 3BU Literary Event, Free Event

Bristol's old docks and the gleaming spires of Clifton form the contrasting backdrop to Christopher Wakling's The Devil's Mask. This is very much one for fans of Hornblower and The Ruby in the Smoke, but with a unique west country slant, written with all the attention to detail you might expect from this former lawyer and teacher. If you're interested in Bristol's dubious trading history, and enjoy a ripping narrative to go with it, then join us this evening to hear him read from this gruesome Georgian mystery.

Tickets are free, email events@foyles.co.uk.
