60th Anniversary of Nineteen Eighty-Four - save up to 30%

June sees the 60th anniversary of the publication of Orwell's last book, the classic Nineteen Eighty-Four, the source of such concepts, among others, as Newspeak and Thought Police and translated into more than 60 languages. To commemorate the event, Harvill are bringing out an anniversary edition with a new introduction by Robert Harris, but it also seems a good moment to look more widely at a writing career studded with classics, including Animal Farm and Down and Out in Paris and London. And we take a look at some of the other great books published in the same year as 1984 such as Norman Mailer's The Naked and the Dead and Nancy Mitford's Love in a Cold Climate.
