Bookshop Barnie: Iain Macwhirter's Disunited Kingdom

Tuesday 13th January 2015 6:30pm - 8:30pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Chargeable Event

On the 18th September 2014, Scotland voted to stay in the Union. In this provocative new book, award-winning political commentator for the Sunday Herald and the Herald Iain Macwhirter argues that the UK will never be the same again.

Join Macwhirter as he takes the stage for the first Bookshop Barnie of the year.

Bookshop Barnies -- a regular event strand from the Future Cities project -- challenge authors to justify their work in front of an invited audience. Chaired by author and director of the Future Cities project, Austin Williams, the Barnie is a space for discussion and debate on a range of subjects that affect the world in which we live.

The debate will commence at 6:30pm, but join us for a drink from 6:15pm.

Venue: The Auditorium at Foyles, Level 6, 107 Charing Cross Road

Tickets: Free, but reservation is necessary as space is limited. Just RSVP to futurecitiesproject@gmail.com to book your place.
