Andrew Collins- Göbekli Tepe: Genesis of the Gods

Tuesday 13th May 2014 7pm - 8:30pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Chargeable Event

The best-selling author of From the Ashes of Angels and Gods of Eden, Andrew Collins joins us to celebrate the publication of his new book Göbekli Tepe: Genesis of the Gods.

As much as seven thousand years older than the Great Pyramid and Stonehenge, the strange buildings and T-shaped monoliths of Göbekli Tepe in Turkey - built with stones weighing from 10 to 15 tons - show a level of sophistication and artistic achievement unmatched until the rise of the great civilizations of the ancient world. Andrew Collins, who co-discovered the massive cave complex beneath the Giza plateau, discusses the layout and significance of what is now recognized as the oldest stone architecture in the world, arguing for its place at the heart of our ancestral origins.

Join Andrew for an illustrated presentation, taking questions from the audience and signing copies of his books.
