Time Out and Foyles present: 'Toast on Toast', Matt Berry and Arthur Mathews in conversation

Wednesday 9th December 2015 6:30pm - 7:30pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event, Chargeable Event

International surreal funny-man Matt Berry has released a new book based on his legendary character Steven Toast and tonight you'll get to hear from The Mighty Boosh, The IT Crowd, Portlandia, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace and, of course, Toast of London star along with his co-writer Arthur Mathews (Father Ted and Black Books) when they take you behind the scenes of their hit TV show at this special Q&A event.

(Fictional) moustachioed West End veteran Steven Toast (played by Berry) has written a book to coincide with the launch of the third series premiering on 18th November. Part memoir, part 'how to act' manual, Toast on Toast: Cautionary Tales and Candid Advice (written entirely in character) will inspire and educate anyone who wants to tread the floorboards and entertain because secretly we all want to know what a jobbing actors life is really like.

To celebrate the publication, we've teamed up with Time Out to welcome Matt Berry and Arthur Mathews to the stage to talk about their dazzling, cringeworthy character and everything that went into bringing him to life. Come along for this opportunity to meet two of our greatest contemporary comedians, ask them about their work, and nab a signed copy of Toast on Toast: Cautionary Tales and Candid Advice in time for Christmas.

Venue: The Auditorium at Foyles, Level 6, 107 Charing Cross Road
