Bright, Precious Days: Jay McInerney in conversation
No one writes New York novels quite like Jay McInerney, and a new book from him is a genuine publishing event.
In his new book Bright, Precious Days, he returns to the characters of Russell and Corrine Calloway, previously encountered in Brightness Falls and The Good Life, as their lives unfold against the backdrop of the Big Apple in 2008: financial meltdown looming and Senators Clinton and Obama battling it out for the presidency.
Readers of contemporary fiction won't want to miss this exclusive and intimate event with one of the defining voices of his generation, as Jay McInerney discusses his first novel in ten years, and the changing face of America since he burst onto the literary scene in the 1980s.
Jay will be in conversation with Literary Director of Firebird Poetry Prizes & broadcaster Paul Blezard.
