Women in Sport : Hope Powell and Sarah Shephard in conversation with Nicola Miller

Thursday 25th August 2016 7pm - 8pm 107 Charing Cross Road Literary Event

Football is now officially the biggest female team sport in England and with more that 1 million girls in the UK playing football, interest in the beautiful game is only set to rise.

We’re delighted to be joined by former England international footballer Hope Powell CBE, who coached the England women’s national team and the Great Britain women's Olympic team until 2013, and Sarah Shephard, Features Editor at Sport magazine and author of the book Kicking Off, which explores and challenges women's status as second class citizens in the world of sport. Nicola Miller, Director of Campaigns & Engagement at Women in Sport, joins Hope and Sarah to chair a discussion of the issues facing sportswomen today and the road to a more equal future.

Venue: The Auditorium, Foyles, Charing Cross Road, WC2H 0DT
Tickets: £8, includes a complimentary drink. Simply add the required number to the basket below.

Please note, no physical tickets will be issued, the email confirmation you receive is proof of your booking.

We are unable to issue refunds to customers unable to attend the event without at least 24 hours' notice. To request a refund of your ticket purchase or purchases, email with your details and request.
