London Fiction

Which novelists come to mind when you think of London? Charles Dickens, of course. How about Patrick Hamilton? Or Zadie Smith? Nick Hornby?

There are as many versions of London as there are novels about London. Every writer brings their own perspective to the city and in a city like London it's the past (and indeed the future) that features just as much as the present in the countless novels set here.
