Bobby Robson autobiography to be republished

6th August 2009

International football icon Bobby Robson's autobiography Farewell But Not Goodbye is to be republished following his death.

The reissue of the commemorative edition of the 2006 publication was announced by Hodder & Stoughton.

Sir Bobby's story will be available once again with new material and will be published on August 20th.

The Newcastle and England player and manager passed away on July 31st following an 18-year battle with cancer.

Sir Bobby famously took the England team further than any other manager since 1966 in the 1990 World Cup in Italy.

He enjoyed a successful managerial career that saw him pick up a number of trophies around Europe, including in Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands.

His lung cancer was deemed terminal last year. After hearing the news, Sir Bobby said: 'I am going to die sooner rather than later.

'But then everyone has to go sometime and I have enjoyed every minute.'

His autobiography was described as 'passionate and opinionated and ageless' by the Sunday Times.
