Real-life Da Vinci Code claims second coming is 'imminent'

24th September 2009

A controversial author is expecting a widespread backlash when his new book, which has been likened to Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code, is published later this year.

Emmanuel Elliott claims that his book, The Dawning, will shake the Vatican to its core.

The new work is set to be released by Dawn Chorus Publishing this November, and is the third novel from the 72-year-old author.

Subtitled A Grave Untold, the real-life story delves into the Subud spiritual movement, which was founded in Indonesia in the 1920s.

Commenting on the new work, and the imminent second coming, Mr Elliott told the Gloucestershire Echo: 'It is inevitable that it will cause controversy. But in my opinion it is something that needs to be said.'

'I have followed my quest and now I am telling my story,' he added.

Mr Elliott traveled to Indonesia, Portugal, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mexico, Spain and the US before collaborating with other Subud practitioners to pen the novel.

The Dawning will be released on November 9th.
