Stephen Fry adopts innovative publishing strategy for new book

13th September 2010

Stephen Fry's new book, The Fry Chronicles, is being made available in a range of innovative formats after going on general sale earlier today (September 13th).

An eBook will accompany the publication of a traditional hardback version of the work, while readers will also be able to access the memoir with the use of iPod and iPhone apps.

Michael Joseph's managing director Louise Moore believes the release of the book marks the introduction of a new style of publishing.

'Blending established elements with the radically new, we are demonstrating how a wonderful, old-fashioned hardback book can be re-imagined with the help of today's exciting new technologies,' she said.

The Fry Chronicles is not the first memoir to be published by the star of the BBC's Blackadder and QI programmes.

In addition to novels such as The Liar, Fry recalled the earlier stages of his life with Moab is my Washpot.
