Michael Palin in conversation with Marcel Theroux
Few of Britain's confirmed national treasures have earned the epithet with the style and silliness of Michael Palin. Screenwriter, novelist, broadcaster, travel writer, globe-trotter, actor, diarist, comedian and lumberjack: if printed out in full, Michael Palin's CV would require several acres of rainforest. In a typically busy year (he's going on tour, publishing the third volume of his diaries and reuniting with the Pythons), we're delighted that Michael Palin is giving up a rare evening off to discuss his life as a writer and self-confessed travel addict with novelist Marcel Theroux.
Michael Palin will also be officially opening our Travel Department at 6.30pm: click here to book your free place
