London on Film with the BFI: The Salvage Gang (1958), Family Film Screening (BFI, Certificate U)

Sunday 22nd June 2014 4pm - 6pm 107 Charing Cross Road Free Event

BFIA restored gem from the Children's Film Foundation archive. When four children try to raise money to replace a broken saw, their schemes take them on an unexpected journey through the capital. Beautifully photographed, The Salvage Gang by acclaimed director John Krish is an affectionate tour of bomb-damaged London, featuring a young Frazer Hines and a cameo by Wilfred Brambell.
