Synopsis

This book is the first publication in English to examine the work of the celebrated Venezuelan artist Armando Reveron (1889-1954). Published to accompany the major exhibition at The Museum of Modern Art, it is vibrantly illustrated with Reverons highly tactile landscapes and figurative works. John Elderfield introductory essay analyses the artists work, while Luiz Perez- Oramas places the artist in the context of Latin American art history.

John Elderfield is the Marie-Josee and Henry Kravis Chief Curator in the Department of Painting and Sculpture at The Museum of Modern Art. Luis Perez-Oramas is Adjunct Curator in the Department of Drawings at The Museum of Modern Art.
