El autor: Jose Sanjines es profesor de literatura latinoamericana y semiotica en Lawrence University. Nacido en La Paz, Bolivia, recibio el doctorado en Syracuse University. Aparte de articulos y monografias sobre las obras de Julio Cortazar, Carlos Fuentes y Mario Vargas Llosa, ha escrito estudios teoricos sobre el cine, la communicacion intermodal y el problema semiotico del marco. Desde 1992 es editor asociado de Point of Contact - Punto de Contacto.
