Synopsis

When photographer Johnny Moncada opened a trunk of his archives that had been locked for thirty years, he and his daughter found over ten thousand unseen and unpublished photographs. Of these, three thousand of them were of the gorgeous fashion icon, Veruschka. This lavish volume presents a single series of these images where Moncada photographed Veruschka over the course of a month-long holiday in Capri and Rome, Italy. Using a mixture of quiet moments and posed artistic shots, Moncada was able to capture not only the style, fashion, and energy of the 1960s, but he was also able to witness rare moments and the glamorous intrigue and poise of Veruschka. Moncada's exquisite fashion photographs embody elegance, and this volume captures the romance, beauty, and grace of Veruschka and timeless glamour and decadence.
