Jean-Louis Pautrot, Ph.D. est Professeur de francais et d'etudes internationales a Saint Louis University, Missouri. Il a publie La Musique oubliee (Droz, 1994) et un certain nombre d'essais sur la litterature contemporaine et le cinema. Il a prepare l'anthologie The Andre Hodeir Jazz Reader (U of Michigan Press, 2004), ainsi que des numeros d'Etudes francaises (2004) et de L'Esprit Createur (2007).
