A. Vaidyanathan is an honorary fellow at the Center for Development Studies in Thiruvanathapuram, India, and the author of more than a dozen books, some dealing with broader aspects of strategy and policy, and others exploring issues relating to specific sectors. He is a former economist for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and for the World Bank. He has also worked for the National Council of Applied Economic Research and the Madras Institute of Development Studies.
