Synopsis

Bis zur breiten industriellen Anwendung dieses neuen Werkzeuges musste die Lasertechnologie verschiedene wechselhafte Phasen durchlaufen. Erst in den letzten funf Jahren konnte sich der Laser in verschiedenen Anwendungsgebieten durchsetzen. Ziel dieser Tagung war die praxisnahe Darstellung der vielfaltigen Anwendungsmoglichkeiten des Lasers in der industriellen Fertigungstechnik. Weiterhin sollten Erfahrungen und neue Erkenntnisse auf diesem innovativen und sich rasch entwickelnden Gebiet vermittelt werden. Den inhaltlichen Schwerpunkt bilden traditionsgemass technologische und anwendungsbezogene Aspekte der Materialbearbeitung mit Lasern. In ihrer strukturellen Gestaltung orientierte sich die Konferenz daher sehr stark an Problemstellungen, die fur den industriellen Anwender dieser Technologie von Bedeutung sind. Neben dem Laserstrahl-Schneiden und -Schweissen sowie der Oberflachenbehandlung von Werkstucken mit dem "thermischen Werkzeug Laserstrahl" werden Handhabungstechniken und Verfahren der Prozesskontrolle und -steuerung vorgestellt."
