Synopsis

This book shows how to make learning of history an enjoyable and challenging experience for each individual pupil. It encourages teachers to identify and reflect on the needs of every learner. Underpinning the ideas is an absolute refusal to 'dumb down' history in order to make learning inclusive. Ian Luff is an Assistant Headteacher and has been head of History in several comprehensive schools. He has written for Teaching History and provides INSET on a national basis.
