Das vorliegende Lehrbuch enthalt die wichtigsten mathematischen Grundlagen und Begriffe der Theorie analoger Systeme mit diskreter und kontinuierlicher Zeit. Der Stoff ist in vier Hauptabschnitte unterteilt. Der erste enthalt die wichtigsten mathematischen Grundlagen der Signalbeschreibung, insbesondere die Funktionaltransformationen als spezielle lineare Abbildungen in linearen Raumen. Der zweite Hauptabschnitt ist dem nichtlinearen System mit kontinuierlicher Zeit gewidmet. Im dritten und vierten Hauptabschnitt werden lineare Systeme mit kontinuierlicher und diskreter Zeit behandelt, wobei besonders Aspekte einer einheitlichen Beschreibung dieser Systemklassen eine Rolle spielen. Das Buch ist aus Vorlesungen fur Studierende des Studienganges Elektrotechnik an der Technischen Universitat Dresden hervorgegangen. Dabei wurde auf eine moglichst allgemeingultige und doch anschauliche Darstellung der Zusammenhange Wert gelegt. Die einzelnen Abschnitte sind mit zahlreichen Beispielen und Ubungsaufgaben ausgestattet, deren Losungen im letzten Abschnitt zusammengefat sind.
