Faydor L. Litvin (Ph.D., Tomsk Polytechnic Institute; D.Sc., St. Petersburg Polytechnic Institute) is Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Illinois at Chicago. The developer of 22 inventions, Dr. Litvin is the author of 250 publications, including Theory of Gearing, NASA Reference Publication 1212, and Theory of Gearing and Design of Mechanisms and Instrument Elements (both in Russian).
