Synopsis

In einer explorativen Studie werden die Zielsetzungen, Resultate und Bewertungen des Modellversuchs Informationsvermittlung bilanziert. Untersucht wurden 134 geforderte Informationsvermittlungsstellen (IVS) in privaten Dienstleistungsunternehmen, in wirtschaftsnah arbeitenden Einrichtungen und in Forschungsinstitutionen, die fur die interne Verwendung und/oder mit dem Ziel der externen Vermarktung von Recherchen Online-Datenbanken erproben konnten. Der Autor stellt den experimentellen Ansatz der Fordermassnahme heraus, erlautert die gewahlten quantitativen und qualitativen Analyseverfahren sowie die empirische Methode der teilnehmenden Beobachtung. Er beschreibt den Verlauf des Modellversuchs von der Implementierungsphase uber die flankierenden Massnahmen bis zur Endauswertung. Dabei werden neue statistische und qualitative Ergebnisse zur informationstechnischen Ausstattung von IVS, zur Qualifikation der Mitarbeiter, zu deren Rechercheverhalten, zum Marketing und zu Kooperationsstrukturen sowie zu Wirtschaftlichkeit und Akzeptanz der Online-Nutzung prasentiert. Zuletzt werden die Erfahrungen aus dem Modellversuch zusammenfassend bewertet. Schlussfolgerungen fur aktuelle Fordermassnahmen im Fachinformationsbereich werden gezogen."
