Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dietmar Grossstudierte Angewandte Mechanik und promovierte an der Universitat Rostock. Er habilitierte an der Universitat Stuttgart und ist seit 1976 Professor fur Mechanik an der TU Darmstadt. Seine Arbeitsgebiete sind die Festkorper- und Strukturmechanik sowie die Bruchmechanik. Hierbei ist er auch mit der Modellierung mikromechanischer Prozesse befasst. Er ist Mitherausgeber mehrerer internationaler Fachzeitschriften und Autor zahlreicher Lehr- und Fachbucher. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Seeligstudierte Mechanik an der TU Darmstadt, wo er auch promovierte und habilitierte. Er arbeitete als Wissenschaftler am Fraunhofer-Institut fur Werkstoffmechanik, Freiburg, und ist seit 2009 Professor fur Mechanik an der Universitat Karlsruhe. Sein Arbeitsgebiet ist die Festkorpermechanik mit Schwerpunkten in der Materialmodellierung sowie in der Bruch- und Schadigungsmechanik. "
