Customer Reviews

I agree with the previous reviewer. Not advised for the self learner. It can be done with a good dictionary and a lot of patience but the assistance of a fluent Spanish speaker to explain the basics is almost an essential. I am using it my classes after having used ELE Actual A1 in the first terms.

This textbook is the one set for the Level 2 Spanish class I attend and it is a good book for that purpose. As it is written exclusively in Spanish (though there is a vocabulary for each chapter in English, German, French and Portuguese), it is not really suitable for self-directed learning and needs a fluent teacher to help the student make sense of it all. For self-directed students there are better packages out there at this level. Nevertheless, the various exercises are valuable, as are the two CDs included. These latter help the student become accustomed to Spanish spoken in a variety of accents at "normal" speaking speed. The whole package is attractively presented and the binding seems sturdy.
