Synopsis

An introduction to the writers of contemporary inspirational fiction, Contemporary Christian Authors focuses on story-makers who have achieved a wide following through at least one outstanding contribution to the market, while most have penned numerous offerings. Some are recognized in more than one genre, and many publish across age levels. The common thread for all of the writers, however, is the commitment to a philosophy based on traditional values and a Christian world view. Janice DeLong holds two Master's degrees in education, as well as having completed post graduate hours in children's literature. She taught in both public and parochial schools for thirteen years prior to entering the collegiate system in 1985. She has served on the education faculty at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, since that time. Rachel Schwedt holds a Master's degree in Library Science and has been a kindergarten teacher, an English teacher, and a librarian. She presently supervises the Curriculum Library at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
