El autor: Daniel Torres es profesor de lengua espanola y literatura hispanoamericana en Ohio University (Athens). Estudio su bachillerato en Literatura Comparada y Estudios Hispanicos en la Universidad de Puerto Rico (Recinto de Rio Piedras). En The State University of New York at Stony Brook cursa sus estudios de maestria y su doctorado en University of Cincinnati. Ademas de numerosos articulos en revistas especializadas y una monografia sobre el lenguaje poetico en Cien anos de soledad, es autor de Jose Emilio Pacheco: Poesia y poetica del prosaismo (Premio Nacional del PEN Club de Puerto Rico en la categoria de Critica literaria, 1991).
