La lecture des fragments mallarmeens demande un travail de synthese ou de finition par les lecteurs ou artistes. Toute son oeuvre devient ainsi un reve ultime (et inacheve) presentant un eventail de possibilites, comme on peut apprecier dans les versions d'Un Coup de des jamais n'abolira le hasard par Andre Masson, Ellsworth Kelly, Marcel Broodthaers, Christiane Vielle et Liliana Spadavecchia, parmi d'autres. Par le contact direct avec des artistes contemporains, cet ouvrage temoigne d'une lecture de Mallarme qui rend hommage a sa vision de la litterature, car le poete ne cesse de confirmer que le Livre est un heritage universel, qui engage le createur et visionnaire esthetique aussi bien que l'illustrateur, le peintre ou l'artisan.

L'auteur : Gloria Melgarejo Granada a recu son diplome de Docteur en Philosophie dans le Departement de Francais et Italien de l'Universite du Kansas en 2005. Elle occupe un poste de Professeur Assistant de Francais et Espagnol a l'Universite de St. Cloud State, dans le Minnesota. Originaire du Paraguay, elle a enseigne la Litterature et Civilisation Francaises a l'Universite Nationale d'Assomption. En poesie, elle travaille a present dans un projet de recherche qui concerne les oeuvres d'Yves Bonnefoy et de Philippe Jaccottet, ou elle explore la notion de paysage et son rapport avec la voix poetique.
