Lehrpraxis an der Appalachian State University in North Carolina und am Randolph Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Virginia. Neben literaturwissenschaftlichen Abhandlungen ueber Exilliteratur, Innere Emigration und Nachkriegszeit befasst sich Professor Wehage auch mit Paedagogik, insbesondere mit der Didaktisierung von Videos, die bereits zu mehreren workshops und Vortraegen in den USA gefuehrt hat.
