Dieser wirkt im Text als satanischer Humor und entwirft sich ins komisch-groteske Detail. Die Pluralitaet der Themen und Motive verbindet sich mit der Textstruktur, die sich durch kalkulierte Diskontinuitaet und Disjunktion auszeichnet und sich eindeutigen Interpretationsmustern entzieht. Eben daraus entwickelt sich ein spezifischer Lesereiz.

Die Autorin: Helga Halbfass lebt seit laengerer Zeit in den USA. Sie erwarb ihren M.A. an der Georg-August-Universitaet in Goettingen und promovierte an der University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Sie unterrichtete deutsche Sprache und Literatur an der University of Pennsylvania, an Bryn Mawr College (Pennsylvania) und Oberlin College (Ohio).
