Synopsis

Cette etude analyse quatre romans de Colette: La Vagabonde publie en 1910; L'Entrave, 1913; Cheri, 1920; et La Fin de Cheri, 1926. Zeina Tamer Schlenoff, s'inspirant de diverses theories feministes, s'interroge sur le droit de la femme au bonheur. Les questions du gender, de la subjectivite feminine, de la formation sociale et de la representation sexuelle de la femme sont au centre de cette etude, parce que la constitution d'un sujet feminin en quete de son bonheur est au centre des oeuvres discutees. Schlenoff propose une vision nouvelle pour interpreter l'idee du bonheur chez Colette et remet en question l'attitude traditionaliste a l'egard des oeuvres colettiennes qui voit dans la solitude de la femme un signe de misere et de defaite.
