L'auteur: Autrefois Conseillere Juridique en France, Monique Fol est maintenant Professeur de Lettres a Boston College. Elle a etudie a la Faculte de Droit de Paris, a l'Universite de California a Berkeley et a l'Universite de Nice. Elle a recu des Bourses du Ministere de l'Education Nationale, de l'Universite de Californie a Berkeley, de Princeton et des Fondations Ford et Mellon.Monique Fol est le co-auteur, avec Paul Barette, de Un Certain Style, l'auteur de Jean de Boschere ou le chemin du retour (Peter Lang, 1987) et de Un Style Certain: Les Mots pour l'Ecrire (1988). Elle a participe a l'annotation du celebre Emile Zola: Correspondance Volumes II-VII (Les Presses de l'Universite de Montreal, 1980-1989). Elle a egalement redige de nombreux articles sur Alain Robbe-Grillet, Robert de Montesquiou, Gustave Moreau, La comtesse Greffulhe, Edmond de Goncourt, Rodin, Zola, Jean de Boschere, et traduit un essai de Nicole Brossard.Monique Fol est une handicapee motrice et visuelle.
