Jean-Frederic Hennuy est ne a Liege en Belgique. Il a etudie et enseigne en Belgique, en Lousiane, au Nouveau Mexique, et a fait son Doctorat en Etudes Francaises et Francophones a l'Universite de Brown. Son travail de recherche se focalise essentiellement sur la litterature belge de langue francaise ainsi que sur l'etude comparative des litteratures et cultures francophones. Son premier livre est intitule Des Iconoclastes Heureux et Sans complexe. Il enseigne a Bennington College, dans le Vermont.
