Customer Reviews

I first read this book in English and enjoyed it enormously. I then decided to read it and try to improve my French, it's going slowly but it's an entertaining pass time. The book itself is nicely produced and perfect for slipping into a handbag etc. I came across this book when it was featured on Woman's Hour on Radio 4 and have now read it several times and passed it on to friends. It's a fascinating book on how we live our lives and how our prejudices can affect us in the most peculiar ways. It is tragic but ultimately about life and living than death and dying. A good read. In addition to the book the service I received from Foyles was excellent. I live outside London and obtaining foreign language books can be difficult but Foyles now make it so much easier.
