Madame de Charriere et la Revolution des idees avance le double projet d'examiner les idees de Mme de Charriere pendant la Revolution francaise et d'etudier particulierement leur caractere revolutionnaire et innovateur. La problematique de l'effet auteur occupe une place importante dans l'analyse du role de Mme de Charriere en tant que femme auteur qui choisit d'ecrire sur la Revolution francaise. Ses romans tels que Trois Femmes deviennent des dramatisations textuelles de l'effet auteur, des inscriptions de l'auteur au sein du texte.
