Synopsis

Mallarme, qui se rend compte de la contingence de la Notion une fois qu'elle se met en contact avec le langage, et pour qui la litterature et la pensee sont inseparables, a invente une nouvelle approche mythologique au langage. Celle-ci recupere l'ancien systeme des ressemblances ou le mot etait l'equivalent de son concept. Pourtant, cette approche, mythopoetique - une production negative de mythes qui est symptomatique de l'histoire de l'esthetique occidentale - reussit par son echec mimetique meme a reproduire une homogeneite au niveau de la forme. Nous demontrons, par des analyses de textes linguistiques et critiques comme les Notes sur le langage et Le mystere dans les lettres, de proses et de poemes comme Igitur, les Divagations, Epouser la Notion, le Sonnet en X et Un Coup de Des, et a partir de phenomenes contemporains, qu'il ne s'agit pas tant de l'art imitant la nature ou vice versa, mais plutot de la repetition de la production de la nature et de la nature d'un langage qui cree des mythes. Les nouvelles ressemblances de cette poetique sont donc doublement mimetiques, a la fois imitant et devenant nature.

C'est une poetique qui reflete les decouvertes en linguistique au dix-neuvieme siecle, comme chez Mueller, pour qui le langage est le travail de la nature , mais qui avant tout se situe ineluctablement dans les trous de la pensee occidentale. Elle exige un travail qui tient compte de son devenir comme constitue epistemologiquement.

Il a publie des articles sur Mallarme autour de questions philosophiques, sur la romanciere mauritienne Ananda Devi, sur les topoi narratifs, et sur la poesie numerique. Il etudie les rencontres de la philosophie avec la mimesis et la medialite depuis le Romantisme.
