Synopsis

In 2035, the US Navy discovers a strange space capsule that has crashed in the Indian Ocean. Helen Friedman is in charge of interrogating the two survivors, who are none other than Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin! Who, then, are the men who came back from the 1969 Apollo XI mission? Richard Marazano studied comics illustration at the Beaux Arts school in Angouleme and is a cinema fanatic. He also wrote the scripts for Dusk (2007, Les Humanoides Associes) and Aguirre (2008, Editions Carabas), among many other titles. Jean-Michel Ponzio has worked in digital imagery, cinema and publicity. He has collaborated with Marazano on the GenetiksA" series, about human cloning, which will feature nine volumes (2007, Futuropolis).

This is a wonderfully intricate and carefully constructed mystery story crossed with science fiction, with only a handful of topical one-liners present to date it. The artwork is quite stunning and the story matches it as a spacecraft capsule lands on Earth. To say any more would give the game away. Any one considering purchasing needs to bear in mind this is part 1 of 3, with the concluding volume being quite mystical and opaque in its resolution.
