Customer Reviews

Gone Girl is a fictional novel about a Manhattan girl and her Missouri husband and the intricacies of their relationship, which is unravelled after she goes missing. It is written from the narrative of both of the lead characters, in alternating chapters. I really liked this thriller, as the suspense was built well. The plot twists and turns, unexpectedly, and you feel like you get to know the characters. The writing is incredibly clever and the author has obviously researched and planned her story thoroughly. I even liked the ending, which can often be a let down in books like this. While quite graphic in places, this added to the emotion and excitement of the plot. Overall, I very much enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to others. I would even read it again in future.
