Customer Reviews

I bought this book in a bookshop out of sheer boredom having had a dreadful morning at work and needing the wonderful solace offered by a good bookshop. The lady recommended it saying it was most amusing and would lift my spirits - I could not have put it better myself. This book is a gem - the film which was subsequently made was entertaining but the book, as in so many cases, is infinitely superior. I read the entire book in one day because I simply could not put it down, I then purchased copies for my sisters who both adored it - I still regularly buy copies for friends. It is a book that teaches you never to be gloomy, to pick yourself up and never ever feel that life holds no more surprises for you! Loved it!
