Customer Reviews

I bought this book because I was intrigued by the idea of tracing two lives over a certain number of years. Emma and Dexter had very different characters and I felt this helped to give the book variety. I honestly found Dexter annoying at (most)times. The author gives a good insight into life over the last twenty five years or so, gap years , graduates working in fast food outlets full time etc. It is an absorbing read not hard going at all. I will add that my daughter who reads very little read this also but had no time for Emma!

A modern masterpiece! I guarantee you will not be able to put this down easily. Watch the relationship of Em and Dex dip and sway over the course of 20 years. And I promise you, the end will have you wishing you knew the characters in real life, if just to be there when the twist hits. I cannot recommend this enough. - Laura
