Tim Clare is an author, musician and performance poet and has an MA in Creative Writing from UEA. His memoir, We Can't All Be Astronauts, published in 2009, won Best Biography/Memoir at the East Anglian Book Awards. He has performed his work on BBC 1 and BBC 2, BBC Radio 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6, and has written for the Guardian, The Times, Independent, The Big Issue and Writing magazine, among others. His debut novel, The Honours, was published by Canongate in 2015 and longlisted for the Desmond Elliott Prize. He is the creator of 'Poetry Takeaway', the world's first mobile poetry emporium and presents the creative writing podcast Death By 1000 Cuts. He lives in Norwich.
