Synopsis

Do you want to live forever? Ben Ferguson-Cripps is a struggling writer with a surname that gets more comments than his waning blog. In desperation Ben sets aside his literary ambitions to join the newly established and enigmatic Life Assistance Agency. The agency's first case is to trace a missing person with links to the Elizabethan angel-caller Dr John Dee. Pursued by a shadowy organisation - and the ghosts of Ben's past - the trail leads them on a white-knuckle ride through Europe into the historic streets of Prague. As forces meet in a deadly climax, the long-buried secrets of Dr Dee's achievements are finally revealed...and Ben will discover there is always more to life.

Customer Reviews

What begins as the story of a failing writer in London looking for. help with a Life Assistance Agency, turns in to an epic adventure travelling across Europe hunting the elusive Mr Foxe. Chasing down a story of ancient occult practices with a mysterious past inextricably linked to the present. A brilliantly researched and written story which takes you on a very credible adventure into a dark and foreboding world. Drawing on a present day story line and through a 500 year old history to uncover the truth whilst being chased down by darker and more menacing forces. A highly recommended read in which the writer captivates and propels you with a pace that make you feel it finishes almost too soon. This is not what you might be expect, but it's well worth it. I for one am seriously looking forward to seeing what follows this.
