Synopsis

When Lenny and Jamie, both in the RAF Servicing Commando and part of the Tactical Airforce in 1944, arrive at their posting, RAF Sind Desert Station, the base appears to be deserted. However, the following moments prove this to be an illusion and, after meeting up with old comrades, they very quickly become part of the team. Lenny soon makes himself indispensable and is a major player in dealing with the unrest and attempted uprising in the local town of Karachi. He is a rough and ready character with a big heart, which is captured by Alice, one of the female prisoners of war released from a Japanese camp who passes through the RAF station. She introduces him to God and believes that he can be her companion and assistant in her missions as the chosen one.
